Community Standards and Expectations
The Global Alliance is a principles-based organization committed to creating inclusive and positive spaces for our convenings. We prioritize the safety and physical and emotional well-being of all participants, and are committed to upholding the dignity and rights of all those who participate in our work.
The Global Alliance will not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment, or discrimination in our convenings, because of bias and systemic oppression based on: race, gender, nationality, income, physical ability, Indigeneity, or LGBTIQ identification.
Unacceptable behaviour during a Global Alliance convening would include: inappropriate language, slurs or harassment, unwanted attention, and insensitive or anti-social behaviours, which are disruptive or that cause discomfort to other participants. Those unable to abide by these expectations may be asked to leave the convening.
- I understand these expectations;
- I commit to participating in respectful ways, honouring the different, and diverse experiences of participants;
- I understand there is no tolerance for discrimination of any kind at Global Alliance events.

Consent for Photo and Video Release
For our collective records and overall communications, the meeting will include audio/video documentation in the form of images, social media reels, or short interview-style videos. These would primarily be used in forthcoming GA spaces like the website, Members Monthly Update, Members Hub, social media posts, and any end-of-year reports. If anyone has an objection to us taking or sharing their images in any external space, please do not hesitate to let the Communications team (Melanie@futureoffood.org and Dharini@futureoffood.org) know, and we will make sure to inform the photographer/videographer.
